Under the patronage and attendance of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Her Highness Sheikha Dr. (Shama Bint Muhammad Bin Khaled Al Nahyan), the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States participated in (Third Arabic Forum We Communicate) under the title “The Arabic Language and its Influence on the Formation of Identity” on February 7, 2019, which was presented In it His Excellency Dr. (Isa Saleh Al Hammadi) Director of the Center a working paper entitled Developing the content of Arabic curricula in the field of concepts of Arabism and the Arab dimension of grades (7: 12), which included the educational center’s vision of the Arabic language for studies and development on the topic of the symposium, in addition to the results and recommendations that resulted from it studying.
The forum was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, a group of university professors in the country, a number of educators in academic and knowledge institutions, and members of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khaled Cultural and Educational Foundation, as well as media and volunteers.
The forum aims at its third session to highlight the cognitive, intellectual, scientific and cultural contribution of the Arabic language, and to emphasize the centrality and importance of the language; being a homeland for identity, and a source of civilization, progress and advancement.
Sheikha Dr. (Shamma bint Muhammad) started her speech at the forum with the phrase “man resides in his language more than his homeland,” calling for her reflection to realize that the language is a homeland that brings together many spectra of people, affirming that the Arabic language is not only a language that brings us together, but a country where we all live, constitutes Our cultural identity is within us, and our accumulated cognitive and human experiences are framed by an ancient and great cultural heritage spanning thousands of years.
Her Highness added, she came to emphasize the importance of communication in the Arabic language amid a huge crowd of foreign languages, and a feeling of shame among young people regarding his linguistic identity in search of foreign languages that have become a way to escape from this shame, and here lies a serious and problematic problem we face in our Arab societies is the weakness of communication in the language Arabic.
Her Highness in her speech highlighted the role of the family and the responsibility of parents towards their children and teaching them the Arabic language so that the children are not separated from their linguistic heritage, and stressed that the greatest burden falls on the mother in educating her children and linking them to their language, identity and ethical and ethical heritage, the identity that the Arabic language is part of Among its components, and a container that carries its values, civilization, morals and inheritance, and its call to adhere to moral education came to achieve the goal that the step of teaching moral education, which was directed by His Highness (Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan), Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, as well as preserving the Arabic language.
Her Highness ended her speech by calling for fathers that what the state and institutions do will simply destroy parents, unless we are all on the same path.
