The Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf countries – one of the organs of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf countries – has held several meetings of the Center’s Board of Trustees since the start of its work in 2013 in Sharjah, in the presence of representatives of the member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf countries; Where they are chosen in coordination between the Director General and the Member States, according to conditions and controls determined according to what the Executive Council deems appropriate, and only these members have the right to vote.
The Center’s keenness to hold such periodic meetings stems from its belief in the importance of the council’s role and the necessity of activating its competencies. It is the authority responsible for following up the workflow of the center and drawing its general policies to ensure the achievement of its objectives, and in this it has the right to approve draft internal regulations submitted by the director of the center, to set policies regulating the workflow of the center, to develop plans and programs for achieving the goals of the center, and to approve the appointment of unit heads and experts. Based on the proposal of the director of the center, following up on the work of the center, looking into the reports of the director of the center on the progress of work in it, preparing the draft general budget and the final account and taking the necessary measures in their regard. by submitting it to the General Conference.
In all of the Council’s meetings, the role and cooperation of all members of the Board of Trustees was praised in supporting the center’s march through the implementation of studies, programs and arbitration processes that take place in member states, in addition to their follow-up of the measures taken in implementing the center’s programs.
