On the occasion of choosing the Emirate of Sharjah as the global capital of the book for the year 2019AD, and in the interest of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language to participate socially with the relevant authorities and institutions in the Arabic language, and within the activities and activities that aim to advance the Arabic language and enhance its position, the Center participated in the fourth reading festival “We all read” Organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Sharjah, under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Professor (Hamid Mugul Al-Nuaimi) Director of the University of Sharjah, and his activities have continued for a week at the University of Sharjah.
The festival aims to advance reading and books, and to dedicate its presence to all members of society, through the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. (Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi) Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah – may God protect and preserve him – his activities have continued for a week so that the festival includes a set of cultural activities And various artistic and literary as well as a book fair with the participation of more than 22 publishing houses and cultural institutions. The exhibition also includes many workshops, and literary, scientific, cultural, and poetic dialogue sessions hosted by an elite group of writers, writers and poets, which aim to consolidate the value of reading among students because of its great impact on the development of self, thought and refining personality.
The Center’s participation was represented in the exhibition accompanying the events throughout the festival, as well as dialogue and poetry sessions, and a number of seminars. At the end of the festival, the Sharjah International Capital Book Office launched a competition entitled “I Am from a Book”, which is considered one of the interactive activities for students to spread awareness of the importance of reading, and to integrate the book as part of their daily lives. The President of the University, accompanied by the Dean of Student Affairs, also honored the supporters and participating in the accompanying exhibition.
